Transfervinduet er ikke officielt åbnet endnu, hvilket det først gør den 5. januar, men alligevel har der været travlt på sportsdirektørens kontor i Ådalen, siden Superligaen gik på vinterpause.

Mens alle troede, julefreden var ved at sænke sig, blev der den 23. december præsenteret en ny spiller i den stribede trøje. Det drejer sig om den islandske midtbanespiller Aron Elis Thrandarson, der blev hentet i Aalesund fra den næstbedste norske række.

Sportsdirektør Jesper Hansen mener, han har nogle styrker, som de andre midtbanespillere ikke har, og derfor er en god spiller at få ind i truppen.

– Den måde vi gerne vil spille på, der synes vi, han passer rigtig godt ind på vores hold. Han er en lidt anderledes type end dem, vi har. Han er en stor spiller. I nogle kampe synes vi, det kan være godt at have den type spillere også.

– Der er lidt rift om nogle af vores spillere, så det handler også om rettidig omhu. Vi håber på, at han ligesom de andre islændinge vi har haft, kan blive et godt match i en hård konkurrence. Vi har flere gode spillere på pladsen, men vi synes, han er et godt supplement med nogle andre styrker end de andre, vi har i truppen.

Hvad er det for nogle styrker?

– Det er noget med hans fysik, højde og drøjde, hans løb, og han scorer også mål. Det er anderledes end de typer, vi har på de positioner.

Han kommer fra den næstbedste række i Norge. Du er ikke bange for, om han kan slå til, når han kommer op på et højere niveau?

– Jo. Det er jo altid den risiko, der er. Aalesund vandt rækken suverænt, og spiller egentlig noget god fodbold. Vi har holdt øje med ham i noget tid, og vores scout, Ole Nielsen, har set ham mange gange. I forhold til det er vi ikke i tvivl om, at han også lige skal finde fodfæste her, og det er også derfor, jeg siger, at konkurrencen på de pladser er hård, men han har nogle andre ting, end de typer vi har.

– Over en hel turnering kan vi godt få brug for hans styrker, og så ved vi også godt, at nogle spillere tager gode skridt, når de skal steppe op, og derfor tror jeg også, at han kan blive et rigtig godt supplement til vores trup.

Mellem jul og nytår blev der hentet endnu en ny spiller til truppen. Den unge angriber Mikkel Hyllegaard havde træner med Superligaholdet i en længere periode, og han efterlod så godt et indtryk, at man valgte at give ham en kontrakt.

Hyllegaards helt store spidskompetence er hans fart, og Jesper Hansen fortæller, at der stadig er en del ting, han skal lære endnu.

– Hyllegaard har vi haft tilløb til igennem et stykke tid, og i den sidste del af 2019 trænede han mere eller mindre fast med Superligatruppen. Vi synes, han har gjort nogle gode fremskridt, og derfor har vi tilbudt ham den her kontrakt.

– Nu skal han så lige bruge noget tid på at vænne sig til at træne og spille på fuld tid med den intensitet, der er i spillet her. Han har en spidskompetence, som er meget unik. Det er hans fart, og det er egentlig den, vi gerne vil bygge på, for vi tror, han kan blive en spændende spiller.

– Der er en masse ting, han skal lære, men qua hans fart kommer han til mange ting, og der skal han blive skarpere på at score, og så ved vi også godt, at der er hård konkurrence om angrebspositionerne i OB, og hvis man skal slå igennem i OB, skal man slå nogle gode spillere af. Men han har nogle ting, som vi synes, er spændende, og derfor har vi lavet den her aftale.

Kort før nytår skulle der igen sættes en underskrift på en kontrakt. Denne gang var det den unge målmand, Hans Christian Bernat, der skrev under på en aftale, der gælder helt frem til sommeren 2024.

Han har kun været fast med på Superligaholdet i et halvt år, og havde egentlig kontrakt i halvandet år endnu, men han har gjort så gode fremskridt, at klubben gerne ville forlænge aftalen nu.

– Det er også lidt rettidig omhu. Vi tilbød HC en fuldtidskontrakt, og at han kunne komme op i førsteholdstruppen, og så syntes vores målmandstræner, Lars Bjerring, at der har været en rigtig god udvikling, og det er vi enige i, både resten af trænerteamet og mig selv, og vi tror på, at han i første omgang skal arbejde på at blive 2. målmand, og det har vi en forventning om, at han kan.

– Vi har selvfølgelig lange aftaler med både Mande og Oliver, men man ved jo aldrig, om de er der hele kontraktperioden. På den måde er vi rigtig glade for, at vi har HC på en lang aftale nu, for vi synes, han har gjort det godt. Hvis vi har en skade, så er vi helt trygge ved at have HC med, men han skal kæmpe hårdt og arbejde hårdt, og så tror vi også på, at han kan tage det næste skridt og måske også det sidste.

Mens vi sad, og snakkede med Jesper Hansen, tikkede der en lidt overraskende nyhed ind omkring Ramon Leeuwins salg til den hollandske storklub AZ Alkmaar.

Der har været lidt tvivl omkring en forlængelse af hans kontrakt i OB, og da der så kom en henveldelse fra den hollandske klub, ønskede man ikke at stå i vejen for et skifte.

– Ramon er jo en spiller, vi har været super glade for. Nogle gange ser det ikke ud af så meget, det han laver, men det er bare så driftsikkert, og han har været en rigtig god mand for os.

– Qua hans alder og de omkostninger der har været til hans løn, har jo gjort, at vi har skubbet det, til min afløser kom, så han også fik en indflydelse på, om vi skulle forlænge aftalen med Ramon. Så har vi fået en henvendelse fra AZ Alkmaar, som gerne ville købe Ramon, og så har vi sagt, at vi ikke ville stå i vejen, fordi vi godt kunne blive enige med AZ.

– Ramon har været en rigtig god spiller for OB, men vi tror også på, at vi kan finde nogle løsninger, så OB også kommer rigtig godt ud af det.

Med salget af Ramon ville det vel give god mening at hente Alexander Juel Andersen ind igen?

– Alexander Juel er en spiller, som vi overvejer. Det gør vi stadigvæk, og mere kan jeg ikke sige til det på nuværende tidspunkt.

Som tidligere nævnt er transfervinduet ikke engang åbnet endnu, og det lyder også til, at der kan ske en del mere, inden vinduet lukker ved udgangen af januar. Både ind og ud.

– Der skal en erstatning ind for Ramon. Vi planlægger også lidt fremad, og kigger på, hvad der skal ske til sommer. Når man gør det, så ved vi også, at alting kan ske. Vi har også nogle spillere, som der er lidt rift om, så det kan også være, der er nogen, der forsvinder.

Inden jul udtalte Jakob Michelsen, at der var det antal spillere i truppen, der skulle være. Efterfølgende er der blevet hentet to ind og solgt en.

Jesper Hansen vil ikke sige så meget om den situation lige nu, men når transfervinduet er lukket, skulle det gerne give mening med truppens størrelse.

– Man kan jo sige, at Hyllegaard selvfølgelig er en spiller i førsteholdstruppen, men han er en udviklingsspiller, så han skal først lære det. På den måde kan man sige, han er sat ind som udviklingsspiller her og nu. Han kan så måske hurtigt få en rolle, qua han har den der ekstreme speed, men på den måde er han lidt en anden spiller.

– Man skal ikke hænge sig så meget i situationen lige her og nu, men når vinduet lukker, skulle vi gerne have de spillere, vi synes, er passende, til det program vi har i foråret.
