Tverskov: Spillede under svære forhold

OB var på besøg hos Esbjerg tirsdag aften, og her måtte fynboerne nøjes med at tage et enkelt point med hjem, da ingen af holdene fik scoret, og kampen sluttede 0-0.

Det var ikke nogen god fodboldkamp, som også blev spillet under nogle svære forhold med stærk vind og en langhåret bane. Det spillede en del ind, mener Jeppe Tverskov.

– Jeg synes, den var meget rodet. Vi havde lidt problemer med at få flow i spillet. Det var en dårlig bane og dårlige vejrforhold, så man kunne godt se, at begge hold havde svært ved at kombinere sig til det, de gerne ville.

– Banen og vejrforholdene spillede en del ind på vores præstation. Udover at vinden var meget irriterende, var banen meget langhåret, og den blev hurtigt tør, fordi vinden fjernede det vand, der var på den, hvilket gjorde, at bolden stoppede meget, og det var svært for angriberne at sætte noget sammen.

Nu er kampen kommet lidt på afstand, og forsvarsgeneralen mener, at det ene point er okay. Det blev accepteret allerede i går aftes lige efter kampen.

– Det tror jeg egentlig, vi accepterede allerede i går efter kampen. Det er klart, vi gik efter tre point, for det havde rykket en del, men ét point er næstbedst. Et point på udebane er vel også okay, så må vi selv ordne det på hjemmebane.

Halvdelen af kampene i mesterskabsspillet er nu afviklet, hvor OB har været ude og spille mod alle de fem andre hold. Det er dog endnu ikke blevet til en sejr, hvilket Tverskov ikke mener, man kan være tilfreds med.

– Nej, det kan vi ikke, og det vil vi også gerne have ændret allerede på søndag. Men jeg synes også, vi ind imellem har leveret en præstation, der kunne have givet lidt større udbytte, og vi håber, det kaster lidt mere af sig nu her, for nu bliver det rigtig vigtigt.

Er du stadig fortrøstningsfuld i forhold til bronzemedaljerne?

– Ja, det synes jeg da ikke, der er nogen grund til ikke at være. Vi er kun ét point efter, så det er stadig meget åbent, men nu er Brøndby også kommet lidt med ind i spillet, og det kan hurtigt vende. Nordsjælland kan også lige pludselig vinde en svær kamp et sted, og så er der samling igen. Man ved, hvor meget tre point rykker, så det er nogle af dem, vi skal have fat i.

I den kommende runde skal OB på besøg i Parken hos FCK, og selvom det ser ud til at blive en meget svær opgave, så kan Tverskov godt finde tro på tingene, hvis han kigger tilbage på den seneste kamp mod københavnerne.

– Jeg synes egentlig, vi havde okay fat i dem, sidst vi spillede i Odense. Det er klart, mange vil gerne lave referencer til vores første kamp i foråret, men det synes jeg egentlig, vi er kommet lidt videre fra. De ser rigtig gode ud lige nu, og det bliver også danske mestre, det er der ingen tvivl om.

– Det bliver en svær opgave, ikke fordi de bare har en enkelt eller to, der er rigtig gode oppe foran, lige nu er der 4-5 stykker, der byder sig til. Der er meget at holde øje med, men som sagt synes jeg, vi havde rigtig godt fat i dem i Odense, og spiller vi vores kort rigtigt, tror jeg også, vi kan få det til at blive en lige kamp, og hvis vi ikke gør, kan vi også blive løbet over ende.
