Inden jul satte vi her på OBstruktion en afstemning i gang om, hvem der skulle have titlen som Årtiets Profil i OB.

Vi nominerede ti personer, der alle har markeret sig i årene fra 2010 til 2019, og nytårsaften sluttede afstemningen, og vinderen kunne derfor kåres.

Den snarligt afgående sportsdirektør, Jesper Hansen, vandt afstemningen, da han fik 26% af stemmerne, og det var han selv ret overrasket over.

– Ja, det er jeg. Jeg ved jo, der har været rigtig meget kritik af mit arbejde i OB. Men jeg synes også, jeg har fået rigtig mange positive tilkendegivelser. Jeg synes jo også et eller andet sted, at der er sket mange ting i den tid, jeg har været her.

– Jeg havde nok ikke forventet, jeg skulle vinde den her titel over så lang en periode, så det er jeg da meget overrasket over. Men jeg er da også glad for, at der er nogen, der har sat pris på det, jeg har været med til i OB.

Jesper Hansen vandt afstemningen foran Rasmus Falk og Bashkim Kadrii, der blev nummer to og tre, og det gør ham bare endnu mere glad.

– Det tænker jeg ikke så meget om. Det er to vidt forskellige ting, og det gør måske også, at jeg er lidt mere glad for at have vundet, for spillere er jo normalt populære i sådan nogle afstemninger og blandt fans. På den måde er jeg rigtig glad for, at man også har kigget på en anden end bare spillere.

– Men jeg synes, at begge to har været rigtig gode spillere for OB på hver deres måde. Men jeg har egentlig mere fokus på, at i kommer her, og siger, jeg har fået flest stemmer. Det er jeg rigtig glad for.

Siden 2013 har Jesper Hansen været sportsdirektør i OB, så han har været med i en stor del af årtiet, som han også sætter nogle ord på.

– Det har været lidt turbulent. Fra sølvsæsonerne og så begyndte det at gå lidt ned af bakke, inden jeg kom herover. Det har været et årti, der har været meget turbulent på mange områder, og det er egentlig også det, jeg synes, at i forhold til det fundament der er i dag, kontra det fundament jeg kom til, der kan man sige, at jeg synes, vi har fået bygget rigtig meget godt op omkring klubben, så vi står et helt andet sted i dag, end man gjorde dengang, som måske startede et par år før, jeg startede i OB.

Har det været et hårdt årti at komme igennem?

– Ja, det har det. Vi bliver målt rigtig meget på førsteholdets resultater, og det er også fair nok, for det er jo det, der følges mest med i. Men det fundament der skal være for at have et stærkt Superligahold, det har ikke været der. Det har vi fået skabt nu her.

– Man kan så sige, at når det først var sidste år, vi første gang kom med i slutspillet, og vi ”tit” har skuffet, så har vi nok ikke været gode nok til at melde ud, hvad det var for en opgave, vi stod overfor, i forhold til de forventninger, man havde til OB, og hvilken økonomi der var og alle de her ting. Så har det jo været hårdt, for der har været mange skuffelser i offentlighedens tilgang til OB. På de indre linjer har der været masser af kredit for nogle af de delmål, der har været til at bygge det her fundament.

– Det har været et hårdt årti, men det har det også for fansene. Vi vil jo gerne have, at OB skal høre til i toppen af dansk fodbold, og når man ikke gør det, så er det også hårdt at være fan og komme med nogle forventninger, der ikke bliver indfriet. Sidste år var første gang, vi kom i top seks, så lad os håbe på, at det bliver sådan fast fremadrettet.

Kan man kalde det for et spildt årti?

– Man kan i hvert fald sige, det har taget lang tid at få ryddet op, hvis jeg må bruge det ord. Det ville vi gerne have gjort noget før, og under Kent Nielsen syntes vi også, og vi var ikke de eneste, der havde den holdning, at truppen var til mere end det, vi opnåede. Vi spillede også gode kampe undervejs, men vi fik ikke prikken over i’et, og kom med i slutspillet.

– Om det så har været spildt, det tror jeg ikke. I forhold til kommune, amatørafdelingen og alle de broer, der er blevet bygget nu, dem kan man ikke få bygget, uden der skal være mange tværslag, for alle skal føle, de har fået lavet nogle gode aftaler. Så jeg tror ikke, det er spildt, for det vi har fået bygget op i dag, er solidt, så vi kan håbe på, at de næste ti år bliver fremgangsår. Det var også det, jeg sagde, da jeg meddelte mit stop, at nu føler jeg, vi er kommet til et ståsted, hvor det vil være fint, at der kommer nye kræfter og ny energi ind, så man kan tage nogle nye kampe.
