Michelsen: Ikke stor forskel på at jagte og forsvare top seks

I weekenden hentede OB en vigtig sejr på hjemmebane mod Randers, og da SønderjyskE samtidig blev banket med 4-1 af Lyngby, betyder det, at OB nu ligger nummer seks i Superligaen på en bedre målscore end SønderjyskE.

Torsdag aften skal OB på besøg i Haderslev hos netop SønderjyskE, og Jakob Michelsen regner med, at det bliver en tæt kamp.

– Der venter en tæt kamp mod en fysisk stærk modstander, som vi traditionelt set spiller jævnbyrdige kampe mod. Vi er inde i en god periode, hvor vi har fået point i syv af de sidste otte kampe. Vi leverer på et stabilt niveau i øjeblikket, og det håber jeg også, vi gør i morgen, for så er jeg sikker på, vi får noget med hjem fra Haderslev.

– Nogen vil kalde det en sekspointskamp, og andre vil sige, at man kun får tre point for at vinde. Men der er stor forskel på, om man efter kampen er tre point foran, tre point bagud eller a point med SønderjyskE.

– Der er 5-6 klubber, der kæmper om de sidste to pladser i top seks, og det siger vel meget godt historien om Superligaen, hvor der er 8-10 klubber, der har ambitioner om at komme med i top seks. Så vil det blive tæt, og jeg er glad for, at vi ligger, hvor vi gør.

Hvad skal vi være gode til mod SønderjyskE?

– Vi skal fortsætte med at forsvare os godt. I de sidste otte kampe har vi højst lukket et enkelt mål ind pr kamp, og at spille til nul eller én, er en god forudsætning for at skrabe point sammen. Derudover synes jeg også, at vi i kampene mod AGF, FC Nordsjælland og senest mod Randers har spillet noget fint fodbold. Kan vi kombinere de to ting, har vi et godt udgangspunkt, vel vidende at SønderjyskE kommer med en masse fysik, er gode på offensive omstillinger, og er et fornuftigt fodboldhold.

SønderjyskE har resultatmæssigt været nede i en bølgedal her i foråret, men Michelsen vil ikke spekulere på, at modstanderne kan være ramt på selvtilliden.

– Jeg koncentrerer mig udelukkende om os selv. Det handler om kontinuerligt at lave point, og det har vi været gode til i den sidste periode, og så må de andre om deres. Vi har rigeligt at gøre med os selv.

Til kampen mod SønderjyskE er Michelsen tvunget til at lave en ændring, da Ryan Johnson Laursen sidder ude med karantæne, men om der er andre ændringer på blokken, kan han ikke gøre os klogere på.

– Vi overvejer altid masser af ændringer, og så finder vi frem til det hold, vi mener, er det bedste på dagen. Vi skal spille fem kampe på 14 dage, nu er der fire tilbage. Man er nødt til at se kampene i en sammenhæng, men omvendt gjorde vi det også godt mod Randers, så vi skal se, om vi ikke kan holde fast i det momentum, vi har i øjeblikket.

I den seneste kamp mod Randers var OB bagud med 0-1, inden de vendte opgøret på hovedet, og vandt med 2-1. Det mener Michelsen, siger en del om holdet.

– Det var stærkt. Både vores præstation, men jeg var også rigtig glad for den moral, vi viste. Det jeg ser til træning hver dag, er, at det er en sammentømret trup med masser af moral og selvtillid, og det er en fantastisk gruppe spillere at arbejde sammen med. Der er i det hele taget en rigtig god stemning og moral i truppen, og det blev vi også bare bekræftet i, selvom vi fik en våd klud i hovedet med det mål, Randers fik foræret, så står vi sammen, og slår tilbage, og får en fortjent sejr, så det var rigtig dejligt.

Den sjetteplads OB ligger på nu, er den, holdet har jagtet hele sæsonen, men Michelsen mener ikke, der er den store forskel på, om de skal jagte placeringen eller forsvare den.

– Der er ikke den store forskel, for vi skal stadig ud og jagte en masse point for at se, om vi kan komme med. Det kunne være sjovt at komme med i det fine selskab, men som jeg har sagt mange gange før, skal der stadig spilles fodbold efter runde 22, i den ene eller anden seksholdspulje, hvor der så kommer noget nyt, man skal op og jagte.

– Vi skal tage én kamp ad gangen, og der er ikke den store forskel. Vi skal spille om tre point i morgen, og det skal vi sjovt nok også på søndag. Vi fik en rigtig god start på det tætte kampprogram med sejren over Randers, og nu har vi kun tabt en af de sidste otte, hvor vi i øvrigt var i undertal, så vi skal fortsætte den gode stime, vi har gang i.
