Det som vi allesammen havde ventet på, skete endelig her til eftermiddag. Der var igen Superligafodbold på Odense Stadion, da OB tog imod FCK i sæsonpremieren.
Der var 9067 tilskuere, der havde benyttet sig af muligheden for at komme på stadion og se fodbold, og de kunne se et OB-hold, der kom ud som lyn og torden.

OB spillede en rigtig god gang fodbold i starten af kampen, og de lagde et tungt pres på gæsterne, der ikke lignede forsvarende danske mestre.
Det var også OB, der kom frem til de chancer, der var, og efter 32 minutter fik hjemmepublikummet endnu mere at juble over, da en indøvet hjørnesparksdetalje gav pote, og Troels Kløve kunne fordoble sin sin scoringstotal i denne sæson med et flot hovedstødsmål.
Den stilling holdt til tre minutter før pausen, da FCK fik et hjørnespark, og efter skidt opdækning endte bolden hos Jonas Wind, der kunne reducere til 2-1.
Kort inden pausen fik Bashkim Kadrii en fin chance, men Sten Grytebust reddede hans afslutning, og derfor kunne holdene gå til pause med 2-1.
FCK kom bedst ud til anden halvleg, og allerede efter et par minutter stod OB alt for passivt i forsvaret, og så kunne Dame N’Doye lidt for nemt bringe balance i regnskabet.
Det var ikke hans sidste mål i kampen, og det var heller ikke sidste gang, at det var lidt for nemt. Da der manglede 20 minutter blev den skarpe angriber spillet fri, og så kunne han bringe gæsterne foran med 3-2
Herfra tog OB over, og de kom da også frem til nogle pænt store chancer, men Sten Grytebust diskede op med nogle gode redninger, som vi også har set ham gøre i OB-trøjen.
Den norske målmand var svær at passere i anden halvleg, og derfor måtte OB forlade banen uden point i sæsonpremieren, hvilket er meget skuffende med føringen på 2-0 in mente.
