Svendsen: Følte mig meget velkommen på Odense Stadion
Den norske angriber, Sander Svendsen, var ikke med i OB’s første kamp i Superligaen mod FCK, da han først ankom til Odense i sidste uge, og havde sin første træning med holdet onsdag.
Da OB spillede mod Lyngby mandag aften, var Svendsen med i truppen, men den nye angriber måtte tage plads på bænken fra kampens start.
Den unge nordmand blev dog skiftet ind ved stillingen 1-1 med en halv time tilbage af kampen, og han gjorde en fantastisk entre på Odense Stadion. OB endte med at vinde med 4-1, og Svendsen scorede både til 2-1 og 4-1.
En fantastisk debut for angriberen, der fortæller, at Jakob Michelsen nærmest gav ham frie tøjler, da han blev sendt på banen.
– Han sagde bare, jeg skulle gå ud og spille mit spil, og gøre hvad jeg havde lyst til. Vi har haft en god dialog, og vi har et rigtig godt forhold. Det var fantastisk dejligt at få lov at komme ind og spille foran fansene.
Hvad var det for en kamp at komme ind i?
– Det var en fin kamp at komme ind i. Jeg synes, vi spiller en god kamp, og vi skaber mange chancer. Det handlede om at komme ind og vække kampen med mit spil, og det gik godt, fordi vi har nogle gode fodboldspillere.
Svendsen har endnu ikke haft voldsomt mange træninger i OB, men alligevel så det ud til, at han faldt godt ind i rytmen på holdet. Han mener dog selv, at det kan blive bedre.
– Der er mange gode fodboldspillere her, og for mig handler det om, at jeg skal lære dem at kende. Jeg bruger hver træning på at skabe relationer til dem, og jeg føler, jeg er godt på vej, men det skal også blive bedre.
Tilskuerne på tribunen gjorde sit for at byde nordmanden velkommen, og han følte sig da også hjemme på Odense Stadion med det samme.
– Det var fantastisk. Jeg følte mig meget velkommen fra den første stund. Det var rigtig fedt, og nu handler det bare om at arbejde hårdt og prøve på at hjælpe OB med at få så mange point som muligt.
Med de to scoringer i hans debut må Svendsen banke gevaldigt på til en startplads i den kommende Superligakamp mod Brøndby, men det tænker han ikke selv så meget over.
– Det er Jakob, der sætter holdet, og jeg forholder mig altid til det, træneren siger. Nu handler det om at lære holdet at kende lidt bedre, og jeg skal bruge denne uge på at arbejde hårdt, og så må Jakob stille sit hold. Uanset om jeg starter på bænken, eller spiller fra start, så kommer jeg til at gøre mit bedste.
