Michelsen vil bringe friske folk i spil mod FC Midtjylland
OB havde muligheden for at spille sig selv i en rigtig gunstig position til top seks i søndags, da de spillede på udebane mod Vejle, men det formåede de ikke, da det blev til et nederlag på 2-0.
Holdets træner, Jakob Michelsen, lægger da heller ikke skjul på, at det de leverede i kampen, langt fra var godt nok.
– Vi spiller for dårligt på bolden, ganske enkelt. Vi savnede kvalitet i det, vi foretog os. Når man gør det, så skaber man for lidt målchancer, og så skal der ikke ret meget til i den anden ende, før de andre scorer. Det var dét, der skete i en meget chancefattig kamp, som nok ikke retfærdiggør ret mange prisstigninger på alverdens TV-pakker. Det var på et lavt niveau rent kvalitetsmæssigt.
– Jeg synes egentlig, intensiteten og duelstyrken og løbevilligheden var ok, men vi savnede kvalitet i vores offensiv, og blev straffet på Vejles eneste chance, så længe der stod 0-0.
– Vi havde håbet at tage til Vejle og få point for sjette kamp i streg, men vi må bare kigge indad og sige, det ikke var godt nok. Vi skabte for lidt, og derfor var det heller ikke ufortjent, at Vejle vandt.
Onsdag aften skal OB igen i ilden, denne gang i den afgørende pokalkvartfinale, hvor FC Midtjylland venter i Herning.
Den første kamp i Odense blev tabt med 2-1, og Michelsen sender nogle friske folk på banen for at jagte overraskelsen mod midtjyderne.
– Man er nødt til at sætte kampen ind i det sammenhæng, at vi spiller fem kampe på 14 dage, og det her er fjerde kamp på ti dage. Så der kommer selvfølgelig noget rotation, fordi det er det stærkest mulige hold, der kan stilles.
– Der er en del i truppen, som er ramt efter tre kampe på en uge, og vi har en meget vigtig kamp på søndag, så det er vigtigt at bringe nogle friske folk i spil. Det er heller ingen hemmelighed, at vi har et dårligere udgangspunkt nu end i den første kamp, men derfor tager vi stadigvæk til Herning for at lave overraskelsen.
