5 dage tilbage – KEP: Mange at holde øje med
Der er fem dage tilbage før den første Superligakamp mod Vendsyssel, og i dag er det Kenneth Emil Petersen, der ser frem til den kommende sæson.
Anføreren mener, det har været en god opstart, og nu glæder han sig meget til, at der igen er noget på spil i kampene.
– Jeg glæder mig egentlig bare til at komme i gang, og spille kampe om nogle point. Vi har haft en fin og god opstart, men det der tænder en som fodboldspiller, det er jo det her med, at der er noget på spil, så det glæder jeg mig meget til.
Der er blevet arbejdet på nogle lidt andre ting under den nye træner, Jakob Michelsen, og derfor er Kenneth Emil heller ikke i tvivl om, hvad det er, fansene kan forvente af OB i den kommende sæson.
– Jeg håber, de kan forvente, at vi kommer ud med et lidt andet udtryk. Lidt mere aggressivt og lidt mere højtpressende. Selvfølgelig skal alt ske med måde, men det er da i hvert fald noget af det, vi har arbejdet med og så noget mere direkte spil, som vi også arbejdede med under Kent, men som vi ikke lykkedes så godt med. Nu prøver vi på en anden måde, og så håber jeg, at det lykkedes.
Der er blevet skiftet lidt ud i truppen denne sommer, og det mener anføreren, har været sundt, og han melder om rigtig god stemning i omklædningsrummet.
– Den er god. Jeg synes, der er en rigtig god stemning. Vi har mistet lidt spillere, og der er kommet nogle unge gutter op samt en enkelt tilgang, så det har givet lidt kulør i truppen. Det har været sundt og tiltrængt, at der har været lidt udskiftning, så der er en god stemning, og folk er ærgerrige og arbejdsomme, og det er i hvert fald ikke stemning, der mangler.
Kenneth Emil har ikke noget succeskriterie om, hvor mange mål han skal score, eller noget andet i den stil, det handler simpelthen bare om at spille kampe.
– Det er selvfølgelig at spille alle de kampe, der nu engang er. Det er det, vi allesammen træner for, og kæmper om, det er at spille kampe om søndagen. Det er klart det.
Der er stort set altid en spiller, der kommer til at blomstre op i en sæson, men Kenneth Emil mener, der er flere spillere i OB, der er værd at holde øje med i den kommende sæson.
– Jeg synes egentlig, der er en del. Nu har vi jo fået nogle unge spillere op, Mathias Jørgensen og Julius Eskesen har jo allerede fået noget spilletid, og har gjort det rigtig godt, så det er to spændende spillere. Ryan Johnson Laursen har set stærk ud, Alexander Ludwig har set stærk ud. Jeg synes generelt, der har været mange, Jeppe Tverskov bliver også ved med at udvikle sig og gå i den rigtige retning, så han bliver også spændende at følge. Festersen har også haft en rigtig stærkt opstart, og har leveret noget af det stærkeste, jeg har set fra ham, så jeg håber, og tror, der er mange, man skal holde øje med.
Der er fem dage tilbage til den første kamp i Superligaen mod Vendsyssel, og da de er oprykkere, er det ret svært at sige, hvad der venter i den kamp.
– Det er jo en lidt ubekendt faktor. Jeg kender ikke så forfærdeligt meget til dem, men de har hentet en del nye til forsvaret. Det er noget af det, vi skal zoome ind på i løbet af ugen, kigge lidt video og finde ud af, hvad de er for en størrelse, men det er klart, de kommer med en flot oprykning og en masse gåpåmod, og i den første kamp på hjemmebane har sådan nogle mindre hold det altid med at præstere lidt ekstra, så vi skal være klar fra start.
Vores anfører ser frem til at komme i gang med den nye sæson, og han har en rigtig fin følelse forud for det, der venter.
– Jeg går ind med en god følelse, det gør jeg. Jeg synes, vi har en stærk og en god trup, så jeg er meget fortrøstningsfuld, og jeg glæder mig til at komme i gang.
